Last Minute Preparations

Well, electrical adaptors haven't been as easy to acquire as I originally thought they would be. To start with, we need at least two different adaptors to cover the three different countries. In Zambia we need a round, two pin Europlug adaptor, in Botswana we will need a round, three pin adaptor and in South Africa we may need either or both of the two. We have plenty of the two pin adaptors but none of the three pin so we have purchased two each from the Internet which are due to arrive tomorrow (not usually lastminute.com!).

Tomorrow morning I'm having my hair cut so that I can attempt to keep it under control in the heat and humidity of a foreign country - a feat, I confess, that has never been achieved so far. The only place I can remember my hair behaving itself was in Madrid so I am seriously considering going to live there one day. Tomorrow afternoon I'm having a manicure and a pedicure so that I am not put to shame by Sue's perfectly quaffered nails and then I am going to prepare to get my legs out as they haven't seen the light of day for at least six months - yuck!

Allowing a little bit of time for last minute packing and suitcase weighing, should mean that I will be ready for the Taxi to Heathrow on Friday without having to get up too early.

While I am away I will try to Blog every day but there will probably be days when I won't be able to publish because of the remote locations and the lack of wifi. If this is the case I will publish when I can.

Bye for now,
L xx
